Lately, something that has been trending on social media, is saying sayonara to social media itself! & I can completely understand why, if someone was, per-say, 'addicted to the gram'. However, when you finally learn to use social media as a outlet to infinite opportunities instead of the number of followers or likes you get, it brightens up a whole new horizon and can actually make you happy.
First off, we all know Instagram isn't real life. If you were to see me from my Instagram of blue ocean photography & on-point mermaid photos to my Snapchat story of Kakashi cosplay & my cat, there's no question. The second it took to take the photo you're double-tapping doesn't compare to the other 86,399 seconds there are in a day. But I'm not saying the people behind the screen aren't real. In fact, I've met some of the most amazing humans off of Instagram from all over the world. Some of them I've gotten the chance to meet, & others are just another adventure waiting to happening.
Another reason Social Media can be used as a good thing is it can create inspiration. Like, for this blog post! Whether it's food/hair tutorials, yoga or DMing my best friend the stupidest, wacko shit we find, it sparks another outlet in my brain to create something amazing.
Lastly, Instagram (in particular) is important to me because it allows me to spread my message about how important protecting our planet is with all my followers. Through a long, ranting caption, a photo of our ocean or through my doodles ( @DoodlesForTheSea ), I'm doing my part. & I couldn't be happier to see how many peoples lives I've impacted in a positive way through this. Inspiring you to find your own unique love so deep for this world is what I live for.
So thank you social media, for inspiring me to inspire you.
